One of my hobbies is buying and selling vintage pottery and glass. I love the way old, decorative things were made. They have a certain weight and feel to them that you just can't find in most stuff made today. I also love the fact that they were made in places like Ohio and California, and I can figure out where they were made just by looking at them.
The color and texture of vintage ceramics is just wonderful and somehow, it's more 'real' too. I don't like things "Made in China" or made of plastic. Give me good old glass or clay. Stuff made from real stuff - the earth! I also like the fact that I am giving new life to old items and saving them from the trash heap - Save the Earth - Buy Vintage!
